About Alamo Colleges

Alamo college is one of the olden community colleges of Bexar County which is one of the parts of Texas located in united states. Alamo colleges were termed as Alamo colleges district as it contains a network of further five colleges. Alamo college district is a chain of five community colleges in Texas and San Antonio. Alamo college district consists of St.Phillips college, San Antonio College, Palo Alto College, Northwest Vista College, Northeast Lakeview College. James Steptoe Johnston a bishop of St.phillips church at Texas founded St.Phillips School on March 1, 1898, to educate the people freed from slavery. Later St.Phillips School grew into St.Phillis College in 1902. Later St.Phillips Church has no finance to bear the college expenses and affiliated the college with San Antonio college district formerly known as Alamo college District in 1942.

Later the board of trustees decided to admit white students at St.Phillips College and black students at San Antonio College. San Antonio College was established in September 1925 by the support of University of Texas. San Antonio Community College District was changed to Alamo Community College District in 1982. In 1974 Communities Organised For Public Service COPS thought of establishing an educational institution on the south side of San Antonio. Communities Organised For Public Service met Alamo Community College District to start an educational institute on the south side of Texas.

So the Trustees Of Alamo Community College District decided to build their third building near Texas highway in Southern Bexar County on March 19, 1983. In 1985 Palo Alto College begins with 231 students. Northwest Vista College began in 1995 as a part of Alamo Community College District. Recent updates show a great strength of 16000+ students enrolled at Northwest University. Northeast Lakeview College has started in 2007 as a part of Alamo Community College District. It was started on basis of direct elections results bond of 2005. It has 5000+ students enrolled from Bexar area.

Alamo Colleges Education Services ( ACES ) is an online portal that helps students, faculty, and staff with various information regarding registration, finance, and college resources. Faculty, students, staff will be able to know the updations of college. students can attend online classes and submit their projects and assignments. faculty can install the syllabus and change any courses with respect to academics. We need a user id and password to enter into the Alamo College Education Services Portal using the Internet anywhere in the World. Staff can know the change in timing of college and their respective duties. Students can know about their particular fee particulars and pay the fee using the Alamo College Education Services. Parents can know about their children’s academic and results through the Alamo College Education Services ( ACES ). Alamo College Education Services let everyone know about the formal activities and all the cultural activities taking place on the campus and events going on it.

It will be very useful for students who pursue distance education and attend their classes through online. staff can get daily updates regarding their work shifts and salaries. faculty, students, and staff are able to stay updated with college events, commencements, and important announcements.
